Between theory and practice in the perspective of Islamic educational thought

The aim of this study is to present the views on the use of corporal punishment as an educational tool in the perspective of Islamic educational thought and to present some of the views in modern Western education regarding “corporal punishment as a means of education” with a focus on the Islamic intellectual perspective, The punishment of physical education in education is guidance, reform and evaluation, not zeal and revenge, and not torture, torture, discipline and not reprimand. Therefore, studies have confirmed educators over the ages to know the nature of the child and temperament before committing punishment.

From the Western point of view, most of the studies conducted in this field show that beating from time to time does not cause long-term damage to the child’s psychological and social development.
